Winter Commencement
Winter Commencement will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025, 10 a.m. at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. We will hold one ceremony and all colleges and schools will participate.

August 2024, December 2024 and January 2025 candidates who have completed all undergraduate and graduate degree requirements by the end of the Winter 2025 term will be eligible to participate in the Winter Commencement. Graduates are not eligible to attend Spring 2025 Commencement. Please review the University policy about Graduation and Commencement.
In order to help facilitate a meaningful and celebratory day for our graduates and their families, we want to remind you that all attendees (both students and guests) are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct and our Expressive Activity Policy. Violations of these policies before, during or after the ceremony may result in a delay in the official distribution of degrees for those responsible, or other sanctions as appropriate.
We know that everyone wants to honor our graduates, many of whom did not get to participate in high school graduation ceremonies due to the pandemic, and appreciate everyone’s anticipated cooperation to properly commemorate this special day.
Doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degree candidates will celebrate their achievements together. There will not be a separate Graduate Commencement.

Spring 2025 Commencement
Only May 2025 candidates who will have completed all undergraduate and graduate degree requirements by the end of the spring 2025 term will be eligible to participate in the Spring Commencement exercises. Date and more information coming soon.
